Corrie MacColl is updating its operations to comply with the European Union Deforestation Regulation effective December 2024. The company has implemented product assessments and updated internal documentation to meet regulatory standards. These initiatives focus on ensuring a smooth transition for customers while maintaining compliance across the supply chain.

To fulfill legality requirements, the organization is collecting geolocation data and utilizing geospatial software for deforestation risk analysis. Through collaboration with supply chain partners, the company monitors environmental risks and adheres to regulatory guidelines. These efforts support sustainable sourcing and proactive compliance within the European logistics sector.

We recently participated in an industry seminar on the impact of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), set to take effect on the 30th December 2024. Corine Hoedeman, Head of European Logistics at Corrie MacColl presented our approach in aligning with the regulation and facilitating a smooth transition for our customers.

We are proud to have introduced the first assessments of our products in line with the regulatory guidelines and implemented the required changes to our documentation and systems. Our ongoing efforts include collecting geolocations from our supply chains and conducting deforestation risk analyses using advanced geospatial software. Additionally, we are working closely with our supply chain partners to ensure compliance with the EUDR’s legality requirements (Article 2).

A big thank you to TRAXIO for hosting the seminar and to ETRA, Federal Public Service Health, and Food Chain Safety and Environment for their valuable presentations.
