The new tapping season has opened across Memot’s estates, with crews returning to the field after the annual wintering rest period during which trees shed and renew their leaves.
Ahead of the season, supervisors ran refresher training on low-intensity tapping techniques designed to sustain latex flow while protecting the long-term health and productive life of each tree.
Careful panel management, correct tapping depth and disciplined scheduling are what turn a plantation into a decades-long asset rather than a short-term crop — and they start on day one of the season.
